The Compact Radio Telescope (CRT) is a small radio telescope on the roof of Churchill Hall that is used for teaching & research.

  • Antenna: 1.8 m diameter parabolic mesh antenna
  • Rotator: SPID HR rotator
  • Feed: Circularly polarized septum feed
  • Front End: Low noise amplifier centered at 1.4 GHz with a pass band of 300 MHz
  • Receiver: Ettus Research USRP B210 & N210, RTL-SDR’s
  • Antenna Location: 42°20’19″N 71°05’19″W
